It was only with the privatisation and the accompanying disentanglement of the Glashütte watchmaking operations that the public also found access to the collection. A locking system from ABUS protects the valuable exhibits.

The German Clock Museum
Key system Z14 and XZ14 for securing showrooms
For more than 160 years, Glashütte has been considered one of the most important centres of watchmaking. To this day, Glashütte watches stand for precision and the finest mechanics. In May 2008, the watch museum there opened, where over 400 exhibits are presented on 1000 m² of exhibition space on two floors and can also be experienced by visitors through multimedia.
In order to protect the museum's valuable exhibits, a locking system had to be chosen that went beyond standard requirements. True to the watchmakers' basic maxim, they opted for an ABUS solution that combines security with precision.
