Acoustic Glass Break Detector

Detects glass breakage by the sound: The acoustic glass break detector monitors glass surfaces and window fronts reliably and efficiently - and reports every break-in to the alarm control center.

Description

PROTECTS WEAK POINTS: WINDOWS, PATIO DOORS, GLASS FRONTS

Acoustic detector reports glass breakage
With the acoustic glass break detector, you can monitor larger window fronts. The detector responds to the specific sound of breaking glass. Glass breakage is detected and reported to the alarm center.

Functionality and reliable detection
The acoustic glass breakage detector reacts to the sound frequency generated by shattering glass (low and high frequency sound components). And it comes in two stages: 1. an abrupt increase in volume (sound pressure) during glass breakage; 2. a muffled sound (lower sound pressure) caused by the impact of the falling glass fragments. First glass breakage, then impact of the shards: only if both criteria are met will the detector trigger an alarm. This ensures that everyday noises (clinking of drinking glasses, ball against a window pane, etc.) do not trigger an alarm.

Optimal mounting location
For reliable detection, the detector should face the window area to be monitored. The area of the window pane can be between 30 x 30 cm and 3 x 3 m. The optimal position is at a distance of about 2-3 m from the glass front. The maximum distance is up to 8 m (depending on glass type and thickness). The effective detection range may be reduced, for example, with burglar-resistant glass and depending on the equipment/decoration on the window (curtains, flowers, interior shutters).

For safe and proper operation, this device must be installed and regularly maintained by a professional trained by us. Arrange regular maintenance appointments with your installer to ensure trouble-free operation in the long term with the latest security updates and new functions.

Product advantages

  • Wire detectors for protection of glass surfaces and window fronts
  • Reliable acoustic detection of glass breakage
  • Detection range: up to 8 m, depending on the type and thickness of the glass pane
  • Surveillance of entire window fronts and conservatories with only one detector
  • Distinguishes between shattering window panes and everyday noises (drinking glasses, ball hitting the window, etc.)
  • Certified according to EN grade 2
