Torgelow Castle Boarding School
Learning in safety
Torgelow Castle was built in 1904 in the Wilhelminian style as the family residence of the grand ducal chamberlain of Mecklenburg-Schwerin. An ABUS locking system protects the building from unauthorised access.
challenge and solution
Security in classrooms and living spaces
Intelliget access control for teaching and living areas
Effective protection against picking through conventional system with angled profile structure
Thanks to careful planning, sufficient capacity for change and expansion is taken into account
Elaborate profile structure offers high degree of protection against key copying
Thanks to the coded profile rib, a blocking ball prevents any manipulation attempt, so the manipulated key can no longer be removed
Key system tailored to the requirements of school and boarding school rooms
Use of double, knob, half and cam cylinders so only one key required from letter box to front door
The general master key system allows group keys to be used for individual groups (e.g. administration, living quarters), the general master key can open all cylinders

Security in schools and boarding schools
Torgelow boarding school is a state-approved, special privateschool founded in 1994. Children can attend years 5 to 12 and there are not more than 12 pupils per class. The school participates in the national A-level examination board. To ensure convenience of use for the students and teaching staff of the grammar school, as well as to be able to offer the residents of the boarding school security in their home environment, ABUS was commissioned with the installation of a key system.
