ABUS and Team Movistar Cooperation extended until 2025
Wetter/Ruhr, 22. August 2022 – The UCI WorldTeam and ABUS have already been working together since 2017. Three more years will now be added to the six successful seasons. From 2023 to 2025, ABUS will remain the official helmet and safety partner for Movistar Team, Movistar Women Team and Movistar eTeam.
ABUS has contributed to the numerous successes of Movistar riders with its successful products, such as the GameChanger aero helmet and the AirBreaker road helmet. Winning the 2018 World Championship, overall success in the 2019 Giro d'talia, or most recently winning the Giro d'Italia Donne and the Tour de France Femmes are just a few of the highlights that connect ABUS and the Movistar team. Stage wins and winning the team classification at all three national tours are just as much part of the success series as victories in major classics.
One basis for these results lies in the joint product development. The feedback of the professionals has been incorporated into all high-end helmets from ABUS. Six helmet models have already been created since the partnership began. The latest developments in the product offensive include the two time trial variants of the ABUS GameChanger aero helmet, the GameChanger TT and TRI, as well as the ABUS PowerDome, which will go on sale in a few weeks.
The ABUS developers are already working on the helmet innovations for the next three years with the performance experts from the Movistar team. Already in the coming year, further joint models will be presented.
In addition to the development of high-performance helmets, ABUS aims to increase international brand awareness with the partnership. With success, because the media presence of the team with its international riders and at worldwide races contributes to the fact that ABUS has established itself as a top helmet brand in the relevant target groups.
